MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Police say a 13-year-old Memphis boy has been charged with shooting his 10-year-old sister in the head.
Memphis police say the boy was charged Tuesday with felony reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Authorities said police were called to a home Monday and were told that the girl had been hit in the head with an object. Officers then discovered that the girl had been shot, and she was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
The boy is not being identified by police. The girl remained hospitalized Tuesday.
It is not immediately known how the boy got the gun. Police are investigating.
