OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust is considering $1.45 million in incentives for Tapstone Energy as the company plans to establish a new headquarters in Bricktown.

The company now employs 35 people. The new headquarters would create 150 new jobs over the next five years.

According to The Oklahoman (https://bit.ly/1mzwb6o ), the new jobs would pay an average annual salary of more than $146,000. An application for the funds estimates that the new headquarters would have a total economic impact of more than $100 million.

The oil and natural gas company was founded by former SandRidge Energy Inc. CEO Tom Ward.

Similar incentives were used to aid the relocation of Continental Resources from Enid to downtown Oklahoma City.
