DENVER (AP) - The San Francisco Giants have placed left-hander David Huff on the 15-day disabled list and recalled outfielder Juan Perez from Triple-A Fresno.
Huff relieved Ryan Vogelsong in the second inning of Monday’s 8-2 loss at Colorado and strained his left quad running out an infield single leading off the third inning for his first major league hit. He was scheduled to have an MRI on Tuesday.
Huff is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA in eight games this season.
Perez began the season with the Giants and was hitless in eight at-bats before he was optioned to Fresno on Wednesday.
