BOSTON (AP) - Three friends of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR’ tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) are asking that their cases be tried outside of Massachusetts.

The attorney for Dias Kadyrbayev (DY’-us kah-dur-BY’-ehv) filed papers in U.S. District Court on Tuesday asking that his client be included in change of venue motions made previously by Azamat Tazhayakov (AZ’-maht tuh-ZAY’-uh-kahv) and Robel Phillipos.

Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov, both Kazakhstan nationals, have pleaded not guilty to obstruction of justice and conspiracy for allegedly taking Tsarnaev’s laptop computer and a backpack containing fireworks from his college dorm room. Phillipos, of Cambridge, has pleaded not guilty to lying to authorities while being questioned.

Tazhayakov’s lawyer argued in a court filing last week that his client could not receive a fair and impartial trial from a jury in Massachusetts because of the intense publicity surrounding the case.
