GARDEN CITY, S.C. (AP) - An Easter morning fire at a vacation home on the South Carolina coast has claimed a second life.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says 46-year-old Joel Lamb of Timmonsville died Monday from injuries he suffered after he jumped from the three-story burning house in Garden City attempting to escape.

Lamb’s 38-year-old wife, Melissa, died at the scene of the fire that occurred about 4 a.m. on Easter morning.

Another adult and three children remain hospitalized with injuries suffered in the fire.
