MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings return to playing home games outdoors when they open the preseason Aug. 8 against the Oakland Raiders.
The Vikings on Tuesday announced the dates and times for their 2014 preseason schedule.
Minnesota opens the preseason with a 7 p.m. Friday game against Oakland at the University of Minnesota’s outdoor stadium. The Vikings will play the next two seasons at TCF Bank Stadium while they wait for their new stadium to be constructed.
The Vikings will host Arizona in Week 2 of the exhibition season with a 7:30 p.m. Saturday game on Aug. 16. Minnesota wraps up the preseason with back-to-back road games at Kansas City, on Aug. 23, and at Tennessee, on Aug. 28.
