DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say three teenagers have died after fleeing police and crashing in a stolen sport-utility vehicle on Interstate 75 in Detroit.

Television stations WDIV and WXYZ and The Detroit News report the 17-year-old boy and 16- and 14-year-old girls were pronounced dead Sunday morning at a Detroit hospital. Police say the speeding vehicle went over an embankment and landed upside down on the freeway.

State and local law enforcement agencies reported several new vehicles had been stolen from a Detroit-area car dealer. Authorities say the vehicle that crashed matched the description of one of them.

Police say the SUV the teens were riding in landed on another car being driven by woman. She received minor injuries.
