DRUMMOND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - State police have released the name of a 59-year-old woman who was found dead after an explosion destroyed a home on northern Michigan’s Drummond Island.

The Evening News of Sault Ste. Marie (https://bit.ly/1jqElsD ) say the woman has been identified as Jolene Hines. The island is in Lake Huron in Chippewa County’s Drummond Township, about 50 miles southeast of Sault. Ste. Marie.

State police say the house exploded and burned on March 31, and Hines’ body was found after firefighters extinguished the blaze.

Detective Sgt. Mike Schroeder says the blast appears to have been an accident caused by a buildup of propane.
