PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Panhandle veterans say they are fed up with a rash of vandalism incidents to local military memorials.

The veterans told the Pensacola News Journal (https://on.pnj.com/QpdepE ) they are disappointed by recent damage done to the Santa Rosa County Veterans Memorial in Milton and Veterans Memorial Park in Pensacola.

Vandals have done thousands of dollars in damage to various fixtures at both memorials during the last year including stealing lights, damaging metal spouts, defacing monuments and taking supplies used to maintain the memorials.

Officials at the Milton memorial are installing video cameras to try and prevent further vandalism.
