HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - A series of meetings are planned to update the public about Connecticut’s first bus rapid transit system scheduled to begin operations early next year.

The New Britain-Hartford Bus way includes 10 stations in New Britain, Newington, West Hartford and Hartford with buses running every three to seven minutes during commuting hours and officials say it will improve travel times for bus riders in other municipalities.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation says the meetings will be at Central Connecticut State University Institute of Technology & Business Development, 185 Main Street, New Britain, on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; at Old State House, 800 Main Street, Hartford, on April 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; and Hartford Public Library, 500 Main Street, Hartford, on May 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
