GREENWOOD, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a 9-year-old boy was killed after he was pinned beneath farm equipment that was being used to clear brush.

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (https://bit.ly/1gLd0zp ) that the boy was standing behind the machine around 4 p.m. Saturday near Greenwood, in Cass County, when it backed over him.

Capt. Dave Lamprecht of the Cass County Sheriff’s office says authorities consider the incident an accident. Lamprecht says the boy’s family is from Ashland, and owned property with residences in Cass County. Lamprecht declined to identify the boy.
