Former Sen. Scott Brown is officially running for a U.S. Senate seat in New Hampshire, according to local reports.
News 9 WMUR reports they’ve confirmed that Mr. Brown, a Republican, will vie for his party’s nomination to challenge Democratic incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen this fall.
Mr. Brown served as a senator from neighboring Massachusetts after winning a special election in 2010 to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy.
He lost his seat to now-senator Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat, in late 2012 and relocated his place of residence to a home he has in Rye, N.H., fueling speculation he was gearing up for a Senate bid in his new state.
