Almost two dozen students were hurt when the school bus they were riding flipped and overturned on a country road in the northeast region of Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said the bus rolled into a ditch near Ewing, 125 miles from St. Louis, The Associated Press reported. Police said 18 aboard the bus suffered minor injuries. Another five received more serious injuries, AP said.

Most were treated and released on Tuesday, but “a few” students are still at the hospital, said Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish, in the AP report.

The students all attend elementary and high schools.
