NEW YORK (AP) - Notices of intent to sue New York City have been filed in connection with the Manhattan explosion that killed eight people and hurt more than 60.
The Wall Street Journal (https://on.wsj.com/1lCgQ4C ) says the family of the late Griselde Camacho filed two notices of claim on Wednesday.
Camacho’s mother, Carmen Quinones, remains hospitalized.
Two buildings were leveled March 12 in the apparent gas explosion.
The family claims the city failed to maintain and inspect aging gas lines.
The city law department referred inquiries to the comptroller. That office said it does not comment on ongoing litigation.
