CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - A medical examiner has determined a man missing from a Corpus Christi state supported living center and later found floating near the Harbor Bridge drowned.

The Corpus Christi Caller-Times (https://bit.ly/1pOR3Ua ) reports the death of 35-year-old Sean Yates on Tuesday was ruled an accident.

Yates was reported missing Jan. 30. Corpus Christi police on Feb. 3 asked for the public’s help in finding Yates, saying he was bipolar and needed medication.

His body was later located in the water and identified by dental records.

Staffers with the state-run facility told the Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities that Yates would regularly take walks off the premises and return.

Agency spokeswoman Cecilia Cavuto says all residents should be accompanied when they leave the center and staffers have been undergoing additional training.
