WARM SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia state parks officials say President Franklin D. Roosevelt will be honored in Georgia on the anniversary of his death.

An annual ceremony is set for April 12 at Roosevelt’s Little White House State Historic Site in Warm Springs. This year will mark 69 years since Roosevelt died at the Little White House.

Brian Roslund, president of the nonprofit Friends of FDR’s Little White House, says Nina Roosevelt Gibson, the president’s granddaughter, will serve as keynote speaker at the event.

Admission to the site will be free until noon for the event. The site is operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Warm Springs is about 40 miles northeast of Columbus.
