CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A man accused of attempting to rob a Wells Fargo bank in Casper last week will remain in detention awaiting trial.

Federal Magistrate Judge Michael Shickich ruled Tuesday that Jack Taber has a long history of criminal complaints and a lack of ties to the community.

According to the Casper Star-Tribune (https://tinyurl.com/mnptkfm ), Taber faces a federal charge of attempted bank robbery after a man walked into the bank and demanded a teller put money in a bag and give it to him.

Police say when they looked at bank surveillance video, they identified the suspect as Taber from a previous arrest.

Taber’s attorney declined to comment.
