LOS ANGELES (AP) - Chiney Ogwumike of Stanford and Odyssey Sims of Baylor are among the finalists for the John R. Wooden Award, given to college basketball’s top female player.

Ogwumike, a senior forward, has led Stanford to the Final Four. Sims helped Baylor reach the Elite Eight.

The other members of the Wooden All American team announced Wednesday are Kayla McBride of Notre Dame, Breanna Stewart of Connecticut and Alyssa Thomas of Maryland. The trio will take their teams to the Final Four this weekend in Nashville, Tenn.

The Wooden Award will be presented on April 11 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, where Stanford women’s coach Tara VanDerveer will receive the Legends of Coaching Award.

Voting by college basketball media members nationwide took place from March 12-25, which included the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. The five players who received the most points during the voting were chosen for the All American team.
