PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police are looking for two men suspected of robbing nearly a dozen Phoenix area pharmacies at gunpoint since last summer.

Police say the men are accused of walking into 11 pharmacies and threatening a pharmacist with a handgun to get oxycodone.

They say the robberies have occurred since last July with the most recent being April 5.

The suspects appear to target independently-owned pharmacies and have hit stores in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Tempe and Surprise.

In their most recent attempt, they allegedly went into Quick Pharmacy near 43rd Avenue and Northern Avenue but fled upon seeing an armed employee.

Police describe one suspect as Hispanic and in his mid-20s to 30 years old.

They say the other is black and around the same age.
