WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says two men have been charged in connection with a purse snatching at a Walmart in Wilmington after one suspect was apprehended by good Samaritans.

Troopers say it happened Friday around 3:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the Walmart at 1251 Centerville Road. Troopers say a 35-year-old woman was walking to her car with a shopping cart when she was approached by a male suspect who grabbed her purse and fled.

The man, later identified as 20-year-old Stephen Dunfee III of Wilmington, attempted to enter a truck but was apprehended by several witnesses. The truck fled but a witness obtained the vehicle’s Delaware registration. Troopers later identified the driver as 19-year-old Devin Holt of Wilmington.

Neither man appeared to have a listed telephone number.
