FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after three people were injured in an explosion and fire at an apartment complex in Larimer County.

The sheriff’s office says deputies who were called at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday found three injured people outside the home northwest of Fort Collins. The names and ages of the victims have not been released.

The three were hospitalized, and several residents in the main building were taken to shelters or friends’ houses because their apartments could not be entered safely.

Authorities have not released the cause of the explosion.
