MADRID (AP) - Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training with Real Madrid on Friday as he tries to recover from injury in time for the Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich.

A leg muscle injury and a sore left knee have kept Ronaldo sidelined for Madrid’s last four games, including its 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final on Wednesday.

Madrid says defender Marcelo also returned to training as he recovers from injury.

Madrid hosts Bayern in the opening leg of their tie on Wednesday.
