An explosion rocked a Tennessee plant where several ammunition businesses are based, leaving one dead and three injured.
Emergency responders were called to the facility, located about 55 miles outside Nashville late Wednesday afternoon, The Associated Press reported.
The site is home to several businesses that are federally licensed to sell or store ammunition and explosives, said Michael Knight, a spokesman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in the AP report. Mr. Knight said he wasn’t sure which business was involved in the blast and that officials were still trying to determine what occurred.
“The explosion did considerable damage to the facility,” said Odell Poyner, the director of the Humphreys County Emergency Management Agency, in the AP report.
