DENVER (AP) - The Colorado Department of Transportation is remembering employees who have died in the line of duty.

A memorial service on Wednesday honored 58 workers killed since 1929.

According to the Denver Post (https://tinyurl.com/ltspcpm ), an average of one highway worker dies each week across the United States.

Authorities say speeding, distracted driving and intoxication are the main reasons for accidents in work zones.
