ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Officials from the Environmental Protection Agency and a state parks official are celebrating Earth Day at an Albany park.
Regional EPA Administrator Judith Enck, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and New York Deputy Commissioner for Natural Resources Tom Alworth are scheduled to participate in the event Thursday morning in Washington Park.
The event is intended to highlight an initiative encouraging people to connect with nature by taking and sharing photos from local parks.
Earth Day is Tuesday.
