PHILADELPHIA (AP) - The boyfriend of a suburban Philadelphia woman found dead inside a car two months ago will stay behind bars for violating his probation in a drunken driving case.

A Delaware County judge ruled Tuesday that 25-year-old Bhupinder Singh will remain in jail for another five weeks while detectives complete their investigation into the death of 22-year-old Nadia Malik of Broomall.

Singh is being held for violating probation on an unrelated DUI conviction by traveling to Ohio days before Malik’s body was found inside a parked car Feb. 20 outside Philadelphia’s bustling 30th Street Station.

Singh has not been charged with any wrongdoing in her death.

Tests that could determine the cause of Malik’s death are not complete. Her family says they believe she was the victim of foul play.
