WASHINGTON (AP) - The Justice Department says Attorney General Eric Holder will travel to Overland Park, Kan., on Thursday to pay tribute to the victims of the shootings at two Jewish community sites.

The interfaith memorial ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. CDT in the Lewis and Shirley White Theatre inside the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City. Two of the victims were fatally shot outside the center, while a third victim was killed outside Village Shalom, a Jewish retirement complex nearby.

The white supremacist charged in shootings made his first court appearance Tuesday on one count of capital murder and one count of premeditated first-degree murder.
