PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The National Weather Service says there could be some flooding in Rhode Island as heavy rain sweeps into the region.

The service issued a flood watch Tuesday that remains in effect through Wednesday morning.

The service says the rain could cause urban flooding and flooding where there is poor drainage.

It says some streams and rivers could also experience minor flooding.
