PARMA, Ohio (AP) - Several students at a Cleveland-area high school have been treated after a student squirted pepper spray in the cafeteria.

A school spokeswoman says some students at Normandy High School in Parma had trouble breathing and were treated at the school Monday.

Police and firefighters helped clear the cafeteria, and the school was able to resume its normal schedule.

The school says the student who used the pepper spray wasn’t immediately identified. It wasn’t clear why the student used the pepper spray.
