INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gov. Mike Pence is heading north next month to headline the Wisconsin Republican Party’s annual convention.
Pence is scheduled to deliver the keynote address.
Pence’s out of state speech comes at a time when his supporters are increasingly floating his name as a potential White House candidate. However, Pence has insisted he is focused on his current job when asked about future ambitions.
Pence’s chief of staff recently announced he would be departing as to start a political consulting firm, further stoking White House talk.
The attention comes as Pence is still trying to find his foothold inside the Indiana Statehouse. Despite strong Republican majorities in both the House and Senate, he has struggled to push through his agenda.
