MIAMI (AP) - Miami’s emerging tech scene now boasts an independent coding school.

Wyncode is a nine-week development boot camp that will teach students computer programing and how to create their own web apps.

The school was founded by a Canadian couple with the aim of helping meet the demands of Miami’s growing startup industry.

Students will get more than 1,000 hours of training at The LAB Miami in the city’s Wynwood arts district.

According to the academy, graduates will be qualified to join a tech company as a junior web developer.

Health care IT solutions firm CareCloud has agreed to give any Wyncode graduates they hire a $5,000 signing bonus. The school’s tuition is $9,000.

The first camp will begin class May 5.
