ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine the cause of a fire at an Albuquerque elementary school.

Firefighters arriving at Zia Elementary School on Sunday found heavy flames coming from the roof on the north side of the cafeteria.

Crews then battled the fire from on the roof as well as inside the building.

Damage was limited to a 10-by-40-foot area of the building’s roof, and firefighters found no fire damage inside the building.

A total of 16 units and 45 firefighters responded, but many were sent back because the initially responding companies were able to quickly put out the fire.
