COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say an Office Max employee suffered minor injuries when she got hit with two laptop computers while trying to stop a thief.

Police say a man cut alarm cords to two computers on Sunday and ran to the front of the store with the computers in hand.

Police say an employee tried to stop the thief and the suspect hit her with the computers. The employee suffered minor injuries.

Police say a second employee attempted to stop the man at the door and was threatened with a screwdriver-type tool before running out the front door. The second employee was not injured.

Officers say the man escaped in a car and is still being sought.
