ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The last of four men to plead guilty in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Albany in 2012 has been sentenced to 10 years in state prison.
Prosecutors say Monday that 36-year-old Antwan Uptegrow was sentenced in Albany County Court, where he pleaded guilty in January to a robbery charge in the killing of 35-year-old Alex Duncan.
Police say Duncan was killed in September 2012 in front of an Albany neighborhood business. Authorities say Uptegrow, Shaquan Oliver, Bernard White and Uquan Bean tried to rob Duncan, who was shot in the chest and died at Albany Medical Center.
Oliver, White and Bean pleaded guilty to robbery charges in January. They were given sentences ranging from 14 years to 20 years in state prison.
