LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles County’s chief executive officer has proposed a budget of just over $26 billion for fiscal year 2014-15.

CEO William T. Fujioka noted in his announcement Monday that the proposal is a fully balanced budget although the county continues to emerge from an extremely difficult economic period.

Los Angeles County, with more than 10 million residents, is the nation’s most populous county.
