MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy has scheduled an expo to help constituents dealing with a government agency or other matter.

The “Government Helps Expo” is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the MG Maurice Rose Armed Forces Center in Middletown. Murphy is expected to be on hand at noontime.

Murphy and his case workers will help constituents with issues regarding the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security and other matters.

Murphy said people might not think of contacting a congressional office for help in navigating the federal government. He said he hopes people from across the state will attend the expo.
