CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating human remains discovered in the yard of a Chattanooga residence.

Police were called to the home Saturday night after the homeowner discovered a human skull while completing yard work. Investigators searched the area and found other remains, as well as a wallet with an identification card inside.

Officials say it’s too early to confirm if the remains are that of the individual on the card.

Authorities didn’t describe the other remains that were found. They’ve been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Investigators say they haven’t found evidence of foul play.
