CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A scheduled weekend program is designed to help residents in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties hold on to and repair their homes.
The program at the Renaissance Hotel in the historic district on Saturday is sponsored by the city of Charleston, Wells Fargo and the PASTORS group - a nonprofit that works to create public private partnerships to revitalize areas with rundown housing.
Residents can learn about loan modifications and get help to avoid mortgage foreclosure. They can also learn about financing needed home repairs.
