WASHINGTON (AP) - Police say a man was stabbed near the National Mall a few blocks from the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade route.

The incident was reported just after 11 a.m. Saturday near 2nd Street and Constitution Avenue. The parade was underway at the time on Constitution Avenue.

Police say the man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No information was released on the suspect.
