LONDON (AP) - Fulham boosted its chances of escaping relegation from the English Premier League with a 1-0 victory over lowly rival Norwich on Saturday, with Hugo Rodallega’s first-half goal settling a tense match at Craven Cottage.

Fourth-bottom Norwich is only two points from safety - and facing a difficult schedule in its final four matches - after a seventh straight away loss was sealed by Rodallega’s finish in the 40th minute after Steve Sidwell flicked on Lewis Holtby’s free kick.

Fulham manager Felix Magath jumped out of his seat and punched the air after the goal and saw his team defend stoutly to secure a third win in its last five matches.

It was Neil Adams’ first game as Norwich manager after Chris Hughton’s dismissal last weekend, but he encountered the same problems as his predecessor with his team lacking a cutting edge in front of goal.
