COLUMBUS, Ind. (AP) - Search and recovery dogs indicated three areas on the Flat Rock and East Fork White rivers where a missing kayaker from Michigan might be found.

The Republic reports (https://bit.ly/1ekn6vr ) four dogs searched Saturday from boats with the Bartholomew County Water Rescue Team and two others searched the riverbanks with sheriff’s deputies. They were searching for 27-year-old Enrique Quinonez of Kalamazoo, Mich., who went under the surface of the Flatrock River at Columbus on April 6 shortly after he and a friend launched their boats.

Searchers marked each location where the dogs picked up a scent, but the search ended at mid-afternoon.
