SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office broke up a party before it ever got wild.

The Statesman Journal reports (https://is.gd/Idf8df ) that deputies learned of the party near Gates, Ore., from multiple sources at multiple schools. The party was promoted on social media as #ProjectNat and deputies believed it would include underage drinking.

Deputies went to Packsaddle Park on Friday night and found a stage, bonfire, alcoholic beverages and several partygoers.

Sgt. Chris Baldridge says the alleged party organizer - 19-year-old Nathaniel Gray - was arrested after being uncooperative.

The Salem man is charged with disorderly conduct, furnishing alcohol to a minor, littering and providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.
