SHANNON, Miss. (AP) - Power customers in some Lee County communities can expect electric service to be out for about 3 hours early Saturday morning.
Officials of the Tombigbee Electric Power Association tell WTVA-TV (https://bit.ly/1n0Pg1r ) the planned outage is needed while crews do maintenance at its Shannon and Nettleton substations.
The outage is expected to last from 1-4 a.m. while work is done on a transmission line serving the substations.
Affected will be customers in the Shannon, Nettleton, Old Union, Pontocola, Brewer and Union communities as well as areas east of Nettleton.
