LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol says a Florida man has been arrested and 243 pounds of pot has been seized in north Lincoln.

The patrol says a pickup was pulled over for a traffic stop just after 7 a.m. Friday near the Interstate 80 intersection with the Interstate 180 spur into downtown Lincoln.

The patrol says a state trooper was given permission to search the truck, which led to the discovery of 10 bales inside a cardboard box in the pickup bed.

The driver is from Palm Bay, Fla. He’s jailed on suspicion of possession with intent to sell, but court records don’t show that he’s been charged.
