PHILADELPHIA (AP) - An off-duty Philadelphia police officer is hospitalized after investigators said she was stabbed by someone who broke into her home.

It happened shortly before 1 p.m. Friday in southwest Philadelphia.

Police said the officer was stabbed in her right arm by an intruder who broke in through a window in the back of the house.

She drove herself to a hospital and police said she is in stable condition.

Police said a 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the crime, though no weapon has been recovered.

The names of the officer and the suspect weren’t immediately released.
