CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - A minimum security inmate has been found less than 24 hours after he failed to return from work at the New Hampshire State Prison farm in Concord.

Chad Lawlor of Keene had been serving a 2 ½ to seven-year sentence for assault. He was eligible for parole in June 2015. The 39-year-old Lawlor had last been seen Thursday afternoon.

Police arrested him in Concord on Friday morning after a woman called police to say she saw a suspicious man walking up her driveway. He told her he was “hiding.”

When police went to secure Lawlor, they said he tried to reach for something up his sleeve; it appeared to be a knife. Police used a stun gun on him and handcuffs.

It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
