TULSA, Okla. (AP) - More than 600 cyclists from across Oklahoma and the region are expected in Tulsa next month for a community bike ride benefiting health programs for area kids.

The 27th annual Tour de Tulsa is scheduled May 3 and begins at the River West Festival Park on the west bank of the Arkansas River.

Cyclists can choose routes between 25 miles and 100 miles. The cost is $35 for riders 13-and-older and $10 for those younger than 12.

All proceeds benefit local programs designed to improve the health of Tulsa-area kids, such as childhood obesity prevention efforts and education about nutrition and exercise, among others.
