AUBURN, Maine (AP) - A Lewiston woman who threw Molotov cocktails at her ex-boyfriend before leading police on a high-speed chase has been sentenced to jail.

Heather Kullson was ordered to serve three months of a five-year sentence and four years of probation after pleading guilty Thursday to two charges of criminal use of explosives and two counts of eluding a police officer.

The Sun Journal (https://bit.ly/R8DANk ) reports that her lawyer says the 22-year-old Kullson suffered a breakdown over the breakup with her boyfriend, which led to the November 2012 events. A court psychologist called her actions an aberration.

Police say after she threw the homemade explosives she fled the area in her car at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. She was eventually apprehended in Poland.
