BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has a new press secretary with experience working on a Republican presidential campaign.
Jindal’s office announced Friday that the Republican governor had hired Sarah Haley to fill the position.
Haley most recently worked as a special projects producer for ABC World News with Diane Sawyer. Before that, she was chief spokeswoman for Ann Romney, wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, during the 2012 presidential campaign.
Jindal has acknowledged he’s considering a 2016 White House bid.
Haley also worked as press secretary for Republican U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama and at Fox News Channel.
The press secretary job in Jindal’s office was open after a staff reshuffling when communications director Kyle Plotkin was named the governor’s chief of staff.
