CLINTON, N.Y. (AP) - Derek Jeter’s post-season plans during his first few months in retirement include a public appearance at an upstate New York college.

Hamilton College in Clinton in Oneida County has announced that the New York Yankees captain and shortstop will be the featured guest in a moderated question-and-answer session at the school on the night of Dec. 10.

Jeter will appear as part of Hamilton’s Sacerdote Great Names Series. Previous speakers in the series have included Bill and Hilary Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Rudolph Giuliani, Jon Stewart and Bill Cosby.

Jeter announced in February that this season would be his last with the Yankees.

His December appearance at Hamilton is free and open to the public. More details will be announced in September.
